Online Training Vs It's Off to the Gym | New Health and Fitness

New Health And Fitness.Org - Health Information You Can Use

OK, so going to the gym scares you more than a root canal. Just the thought of stepping foot inside a gym makes you break out in sweat and your hands shake. Well guess what, you?re not alone. Many people find going for regular workouts at the gym a daunting and sometimes, even embarrassing especially since you have to workout alongside those who?ve already advanced from flabby to toned. Yes for most, going to the gym can be worse than getting your appendix out.

The good news however, is that you don?t have to feel that way anymore. Taking care of your body shouldn?t be something to be scared of but then again, it is perfectly understandable if you don?t want to do it with too many people watching. Thanks to the advent of the internet, people can now take refuge in anonymity and being able to get help in how to get your dream body is now just one of the million things you can do online in addition to the usual tips and advice from fitness experts, and it?s called online personal training.

This type of training is a relatively new concept as opposed to the traditional training which involves having to go to the gym and working out with a personal trainer for hour-long sessions. Online, you get to chat with your trainer as he puts together a nutrition and exercise plan that will help you achieve your fitness goals. As with a regular trainer, you won?t have to put up with anything you?re not comfortable with nor will you be coerced into anything you?re not ready for.

While training online may be a very convenient option, there are still some people who opt to go to the gym and go through the whole shebang as they feel that online training doesn?t offer enough motivation. Some people feel better working out amidst other people also intent on achieving the same fitness goals and don?t mind sweating it out with the rest of them. Also, working out with special gym equipment that helps tone their bodies gives people the ability to visually appreciate their hard work as they see the results after a few weeks or so. Going to the gym not only builds their self-confidence, it also widens their social network which motivates them further into continuing their workouts.

But that?s not to say that you should avail of one or the other. It is important to note that either kind of training may not be the best for you and it?s a good thing that both offer free trials so you can determine which is going to be better suited to your lifestyle. Physical fitness is a routine that you need to blend in with your daily activities but it should also be something that you can commit to without fail. While people love the fact that online personal training doesn?t require regular visits to the gym and paying an exorbitant membership fee, it somehow allows you to still fall off the wagon, whereas a regular gym membership will motivate you to follow through since you?ve already paid and wouldn?t want to see it go to waste.

However, the best thing about both is while they both can help you get the body you?ve always wanted, the fact is, whether you sweat it off with an online trainer or not, getting the results you want will depend on four things: commitment, patience, determination and perseverance.

Home Improvements Need A Professional Touch - Lawn Mowing ...

A Bedroom installed by professionals by Birch Interiors?Bedroom Furniture Ormskirk,?offers a much better quality outcome over a self installed one from DIY retailer flat-packed units. Here a some factors why a professionally fitted Bedroom is a much better choice.A Larger Range of Accessories

A professional Bedroom designer and installer is going to have access to a much better range of components, like in-built shoe racks, shelves, storage solutions as well as other finishing details. Locating these components yourself is often time-consuming and you?ll discover that parts from different manufacturers won?t always fit properly together. A professional installer will be informed about what can be put in as well as the most effective way to make use of the space.

Better Design Aesthetics

Professional kitchen designers like Birch Interiors?Kitchen?Ormskirk?should be able to visualise the final result when planning the layout of the new kitchen. Frequently it?s tempting to try and fit much more into the available space, however this may end up in a kitchen which feels cramped, or where doors and open awkwardly into tight spaces. There might not be room for a breakfast bar or centre island, and attempting to put such features where space is too tight will result in disappointment.

Better Access to Technology

With new technologies available for example seamless worktops, a self-installed kitchen may not achieve the levels of fit and finish that a professionally fitted kitchen might otherwise attain. Professional standard equipment and knowledge will lead to a superior end result than even a competent DIY installer would likely achieve with with household class tools.

Complete Project Management

A professional installer will work directly with other tradespeople to ensure that plumbing related and electrical work is appropriately scheduled so that installation proceeds as efficiently as possible. Because of this the disruption to your home will probably be over far more rapidly than if you were to plan the work yourself. When a DIY project over runs, you may have other obligations to handle, for example a day job. Do you really want to have your undertaking run into weekend after weekend?

Getting your bedroom or kitchen professionally installed is more costly than an DIY installation, but the paybacks are priceless.

Abortion Matters More Than Fighting Breast Cancer to Liberals ...

This is rather stunning.? The Hill is reporting that Rep. Jackie Spier is leading the charge for liberals to abandon the Susan G Komen For The Cure charity because it has stopped funding Planned Parenthood.? From ?House Dem Abandon Susan G. Komen After Planned Parenthood Decision:?

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) on Wednesday morning said she would no longer support the Susan G. Komen Foundation because of that organization?s decision to no longer provide funding to Planned Parenthood. ?I have been a big booster of the Susan G. Komen organization,? Speier said on the House floor. ?But not anymore.? On Monday, Speier tweeted ?Komen?s decision hurts women ? it puts politics before women?s health. @komenforthecure should be ashamed.?? Speier closed her remarks by asking women to call the Komen Foundation and tell it to stick to its work fighting cancer. ?I ask you to call them, at 1-877-465-6636, and tell them that you want them to stick to what they know,? she said. ?Let?s not make this a race to the political bottom.?

But isn?t?Speier ?hurting women? by leading the charge for others to withhold support for the nation?s most prominent breast cancer charity?

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Sun has editorialized that Komen has somehow struck a blow against abortion.? From ?Komen?s Attack on Abortion Rights:?

But it also should be noted that Dallas-based Komen last year hired Karen C. Handel as senior vice president of public policy. Ms. Handel, who grew up in Upper Marlboro, served as Georgia secretary of state and ran for governor of that state as a staunchly pro-life candidate who opposed federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

Has Komen adopted an anti-abortion stance, too? Given the obvious political motivations behind the Stearns investigation [in Congress], it?s hard not to see the decision as announcing that. According to Planned Parenthood, Komen is the first private organization to withdraw funding on the grounds of the congressional investigation. One can only assume that this outcome, if it stands, will motivate Congress to pursue all sorts of investigations against all sorts of controversial organizations.

Wow.? The editorial speaks of breast health, but the core anger seems to be about abortion.

As I stated in my own post about this event, Komen shouldn?t have funded PP in the first place because?as a general charity?funding the country?s most prominent abortion provider enraged pro lifers who make up about 40% of the country.? But now, some supporters of abortion may harm the search for a cure by abandoning Komen.??Once Komen strayed into this most intense cultural battlefield, there was no way to keep everyone happy.

The Star Ledger gets that point, but is wrong about the timing. From ?Komen Decision to Defund Planned Parenthood Politicizes Breast Cancer Prevention:?

The Komen foundation put its stamp on breast cancer research with its pink ribbon campaign and other events, raising funds and consciousness about the disease. It created a community of women and men with a single goal: to find a cure. Breast cancer strikes everyone, no matter your race, ethnicity or political affiliation. Now that sense of unity has evaporated.? People are taking sides. Many who once supported Komen say they?ll take their donations elsewhere and plan to drop out of other Komen activities. It?s hard to see who the winners are in this mess. As so often happens when their bodies become a political battleground, women ultimately lose.?

No.? Breast cancer was politicized when Komen cut its first check to PP.?Now, it is reaping what that original decision sowed.

This is a lesson I learned at Ralph Nader?s knee: If a charity or advocacy cause doesn?t have to enter a battlefield of the culture war, it?should stay as far away from the fray as possible.?It is foolhardy to cause needless offense when you are seeking broad financial or ideological support.? This is a classic case in point.

Update: Howard Dean wants a corporate boycott of Komen to drastically cut its funding until the organization?once again funds PP.? Yea, that will really help women. Good grief.

AP Interview: Kidnapped Filipino's daring escape (AP)

MANILA, Philippines ? As his kidnappers took him in a speeding boat toward a notorious militant stronghold in the southern Philippines, Ivan Sarenas decided that he would die if he didn't try to escape. When he saw some fishermen, he took his chance, diving deep and hoping his armed captors wouldn't shoot.

The Filipino wildlife photographer, seized with two European tourists during a bird-watching trip, escaped Wednesday and spoke to The Associated Press on Thursday. The tourists Sarenas was guiding, Dutch Ewold Horn and Swiss Lorenzo Vinciguerra, remain missing.

"I am still traumatized," Sarenas said. "I have guilt and concern for the welfare of my companions."

Sarenas said he, Horn and Vinciguerra arrived in Tawi-Tawi, the Philippines' southernmost province, on Sunday in search of the Sulu hornbill, said to be the most endangered hornbill in the world.

Tawi-Tawi is famed for virgin beaches surrounded by crystal blue waters but, like the most of the restive southern Philippines, it is undeveloped for tourism because of years of violence, including ransom kidnappings, bomb attacks and fighting between troops and Muslim rebels.

After spending three days in a mountain forest, the three were heading back to the provincial capital of Bongao by boat Wednesday when five rifle-toting gunmen on another boat fired warning shots and intercepted them, Sarenas said.

They were transferred to another boat, then a third boat. About two hours later, about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sarenas decided to jump over after he realized they were being taken north, in the direction of Jolo Island in the adjacent Sulu archipelago, the stronghold of the brutal Abu Sayyaf group.

"My assumption was we were heading to Jolo. That's why I became scared because my life would be worthless once I reach Jolo," he said, recalling reports of the militants' atrocities, including beheadings of hostages.

He said he informed Horn and Vinciguerra of his plan. "They said, 'Go. Good luck,'" he said.

He got his chance when they were about 700 yards (meters) from the shore. He saw three small boats with fishermen. He said he gambled that the gunmen wouldn't shoot him with so many witnesses around.

He removed a tarpaulin cover over him and his companions. An M16 rifle fitted with a grenade launcher was lying on the boat's floor; he held the muzzle to prevent the weapon from being pointed at him. Then he said he quickly rolled over to the side of the boat.

"I made a deep dive because I was afraid they would shoot me," said Sarenas, a triathlete.

The kidnappers did not fire and left him in the waters where fishermen soon rescued him. He was brought to a village in Languyan township and later to a police station.

Sarenas said Vinciguerra worked as a taxidermist for a museum in Switzerland and Horn as a freelance taxidermist.

"Some of the birds they have mounted they wanted to see in the wild," Sarenas said.

Muslim insurgents have been fighting for minority self-rule in the predominantly Christian nation's south, and the Abu Sayyaf is the most violent group. The militants have been holding an Australian man abducted in December, as well as a Japanese and a Malaysian.

Tawi-Tawi Gov. Sadikul Sahali said the birdwatchers were accompanied by a town councilman and an unarmed police officer because the foreigners refused armed escorts.

After seizing them, the gunmen ordered the councilman, the policeman and the skipper out of the boat before escaping with their captives.

Avail Franchising Consultants for Profitable Business

Franchising consultants are the medium between franchisee and the franchisors. They act as the link between these two entities. By transferring the rights to other investors to use your business name, model and replicate the same in their own outlet, franchising enables the growth of the business.

Without having to worry about coming up with your own business model, having a franchise is a great way to start a business. You have the convenience of having an established and recognized brand to develop when you have a franchise, plus the support of a head office that will help you succeed. To pick one of the best franchises to own so you can have a business that is sure to succeed is the key to your success.

The entry of franchise consultants in the market has been mainly influenced by increased profitability in franchising.

The franchising consultants get money by charging fees on every franchisee they bring to your franchising business. When the agreement contract is signed, the franchisors pay these consultants. To determine what kind of business they are interested in and to determine what kind of business actually suits their profile, the candidates are questioned in length by the franchise consultants. Thus, businesses pay good referral fees for each deal that is closed effectively and realize the role of franchise consultants.

Franchising can be quite challenging. Franchising consultants lead you through the intricacies of franchising to achieve desired results, in case you are about to franchise your business. To find potential franchisors, franchisees contract the consultants. Franchisers contract franchise consultants to find potential franchisees on the other hand.

The franchise consultants are in business to serve both the franchisor and the franchisee, they are in business.? It is important to seek the help of franchise consultants, after having decided to buy a franchise. In terms of costs, visiting a consultant is the same as going directly to the franchiser. They will assist you in making the correct decision. They will also assist in identifying lucrative potential franchise opportunities. They bring the franchisees and the franchising company close together.
?
The type of business that suits you and your needs should be decided on your decisions. A good guide about the franchise business can be given by competent consultants. On franchising basics such as how the process works and business system, they are supposed to guide you. To understand prospective franchise candidate needs, his financial capital available, if the business offered is viable and if the candidate can make a success of it, franchising consultants have to be very careful and analyze the prospective franchise candidate. If he is not suitable for that business, they have to be realistic and make quick judgments and tell a candidate not to go for a business. For recommending bad prospects to clients just to make a hefty commission for themselves, some franchise consultants get a bad reputation. Your primary duty is to help people get the right kind of business, therefore try to be honest. Do not make a profit selling loss making businesses.

The woman dropped about m 30 feet from the High Meadow lift at Canyons Ski Resort just before noon Sunday, resort spokesman Steve Pastorino said.

"There was no malfunction of the lift," Pastorino said. "Other than a brief delay, the lift was not taken out of service."

Ski patrol arrived on the scene within one minute of the fall, and the woman was pronounced dead a few hours later, he said.

The woman, who authorities haven't named, was with friends on the lift at the time of the incident. The resort said she was a college student.

Pastorino said it wasn't immediately clear if the woman and her friends had been using the lift's safety bar when she fell.

The High Meadow lift serves the mid-mountain area largely leading to beginners' slopes, and ranges from roughly 15 to 50 feet off the ground.

The investigation was being handled by the Summit County Sheriff's Office, which was expected to release additional details later Monday.
